Angela Norungolo Geiger
Angie Norungolo Geiger is a native of Greenville, SC. A 1986 Distinguished Military Graduate of Clemson University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (AROTC), she spent 8 years on Active Duty serving in Korea, Ft. Bragg, NC and Germany as a Military Intelligence Officer. She was a Counterintelligence Company Commander during Desert Shield/Storm, deployed to support the 18th Airborne Corps.
Geiger’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC) and the Senior Parachutist Badge. She performed the duties of a Jumpmaster at Ft. Bragg. After resigning her commission, she spent the next 20+ years raising her children and serving as an Army spouse, supporting her husband LTC (Ret) Scott Geiger. Geiger was awarded the Signal Regiment Silver Wahatchee Award upon Scott’s retirement, for her contributions to the soldiers and families of the Signal Regiment.
Her son, Matthew, is a CPT in the Signal Corps, currently serving as the Commander of C/51st Signal Battalion. His spouse, CPT Suzanne Geiger, is an Army Nurse. Her daughter, Erin, is an RN, currently studying for her Masters as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Greenville. Her husband Scott works for Raytheon Technologies as a Program Manager.
The Geigers made their last move, to Greenville, in 2017 and plan to stay. Angie owns Angie Geiger Dream Vacations, a full-service travel agency. In addition to serving on the board of the Vietnam POW Reunion Foundation, she serves as her neighborhood coordinator for Sharing On All Porches (SOAP).
